Welcome to Nautilus Book Awards

For those of you who are new to Nautilus, we extend a heartfelt welcome and hope that you enjoy exploring this website.  And perhaps, you may have a potential Nautilus Award Winner!

Our 20th Anniversary Season launched on September 21, 2017 — and recently closed for Entries on February 10, 2018.

Note: The new 2018 Season will launch on September 21, 2018 (Friday).  If you wish to receive monthly bulletins about the new season, we invite you to join the Nautilus Mailing List.

On the Categories page (see left navigation-bar), you can view the full list of Book Categories for our recent 2017 season.  There are 35 general categories (several with A and B segments, which are described); and these include eight (8) categories of books for Children and Youth. The younger readers are our special joy — we sincerely hope that those of you who write for any readers between ages 2 through 18 will consider sending an Entry in our next season!

The 2017 Award Winners will be announced on our website in the last week of April, 2018.

You can see the full list (pdf) of our prior year 2016 Award Winners on the Exciting News page. And you can view the Bookcovers and Author/Title of all the winners (grouped in their Category or genre) on the page titled “2016 Winners  > 2016 Gold/Grand Winners, and 2016 Silver Winners.”

The specific steps for sending an entry to Nautilus are described on the Guidelines for Entering page.

We generally send monthly updates to all persons on our mail list, with information about the review process and selection of Award Winners. You can join the Nautilus Book Awards Mail List by clicking the green button “JOIN” (below).

If you are interested in background of how the Nautilus Book Awards program began, twenty years ago, please take a look at The Nautilus 20-Year Story page.

Thank you to each and every Author &/or Publisher who chooses to send an entry for this special program.  We applaud your creative projects to birth informative, innovative, and inspiring books into the world.  Each entry we receive is held in respect and gratitude, as our Reviewers and Judges make the difficult decisions to select some outstanding Books from among a large wave of excellent books in each category.

Thank you each and all for contributing Better Books for a Better World.

With all best wishes for the future promotion of your books!
~ In love of reading and learning, Mary Belknap, PhD, Nautilus Director
